Liberon's newest oil is a blend of Pure Tung Oil and natural oils with a UV filter and suitable for all interior and exterior timbers. A penetrating oil which brings out the natural colour of the wood while providing a water-resistant seal & soft sheen. HOW TO APPLY Interior woodwork. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and dust free. If required stain first using Liberon Palette wood Dye before oiling. Using a clean brush or lint free cloth, apply a reasonable coat of oil, allow to penetrate for 10 minuets then wipe off excess oil using a dry lint free cotton cloth. Allow a minimum of 5 hours between coats. Once dry, lightly sand between coats. After the final coat has dried, de-nib with 0000 steel wool (or a nylon finishing pad) and buff with a cotton cloth. A minimum of three coats is required. In damp areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, ect, more coats will be required for extra protection. Exterior Woodwork. Ensure the surface is clean, dry & free of dust and decaying timber as well as any surface greying or mould as this may cause timber blackening. A minimum of 4 coats protection, more coats will be required especially in exposed areas. On sawn timbers it is not necessary to remove the excess but wipe of any runs.
